Cape Town: 5-day short trip in South Africa
Day One: Cape Town
Today we arrive in Cape Town where we are met by our Lark Tours guide. We then check
into the marvelous Cape Grace Hotel, recognized as one of the Leading Hotels of the World
and recipient of numerous awards. Spend the evening enjoying the
hotel's many amenities as well as the surrounding Victoria & Alfred
Waterfront.

Day Two: Cape Town/Simonstown/Cape Point
We embark on our private tour of the Cape Peninsula. This provides us
with an overview of the Cape Peninsula and a look at the diversity of
this region. This tour includes stops at Boulder Beach to see the
penguin colony and the Cape of Good Hope, the very same spot that
Bartholomew Diaz rounded in 1488.

Day Three: Cape Town
Today we see another, equally exciting side of South Africa: the local
townships. Here we have the chance to mingle with the locals, discover
first hand this unique and exciting South African culture, and learn
about the history surrounding these communities. Following our private
tour of the townships, we set off for Cape Town’s busy harbor where we
take a boat to Robben Island. It is here that Nelson Mandela and the
other leaders of the African National Congress (ANC), who helped pave
the way for South Africa’s freedom, were once imprisoned.

Day Four: Cape Town
To begin the day we visit Table Mountain. Here we ascend to the top via
cable car where we delight in the beautiful panoramic views of Cape
Town, the Cape Peninsula, and the mighty Atlantic Ocean. We then set
off to explore Cape Town and learn about its history. Our private tour
of the city includes the Company Gardens, located adjacent to the
offices of the president of South Africa and Parliament, the vibrant
Greenmarket Square, and the Castle of Good Hope, South Africa’s oldest
colonial structure.

Day Five: Cape Town
After one last sumptuous breakfast prepared at the Cape Grace, our guide transfers us to the airport for our return flight.
