Lark Tours is a USA licensed and incorporated company, registered in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our incorporation status can be verified with the North Carolina Secretary of State and all appropriate licensing can be verified with the City of Raleigh. We think this is especially important because it means that we are held accountable to US laws and regulations, in the event that something goes wrong. In contrast, working with companies based overseas means that that you will have very little recourse if something does go wrong. Furthermore, we carry full tour operator professional and general liability insurance. Given the above-mentioned problems in our industry, qualifying for and receiving this insurance is no small feat. This is an absolute must for any tour operator.
Finally, we are members of four prestigious travel associations. Each of these associations has stringent guidelines for acceptance, screening processes, and high ongoing standards for existing members. This means that only reputable tour operators and travel companies are able to be a part of these organizations. It is best to deal with a company who is a member of one of these organizations or else another reputable group.
