Into the Okavango: 11-day vacation in Botswana & Victoria Falls
Day 1: En Route
Depart from home; en route to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Day 2: Victoria Falls
Today we arrive in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe where we are met by our Lark Tours guide and transferred to the elegant Victoria Fall Hotel. That afternoon we visit the breathtaking Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Upon seeing these falls, David Livingstone remarked "scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight."

At Xigera Camp we explore the Okavango Delta. The safaris at Xigera are centered on the water, since we are in the middle of the Delta. We observe the wildlife by traveling on mokoros, which are flat-bottomed boats that slowly glide across the water, or on motorboats so that we can venture further from camp. During the day we also set off on bushwalks for an even more personal experience of the African wilderness.
